PERFORMING AND MEDIA ARTS 1

Duration: 2 Years

Full-Time/2 Sessions

Minimum Entry Requirement:

NECO, WAEC/SSCE, GCE, International Baccalaureate, Other internationally recognized Ordinary Level or Advanced Level Certificate, in any discipline.

Structure

The Two Year Intensive Course is a vocational and practical program aimed primarily at students who are committed to pursuing and developing a career in the performing arts.

Year 1 is designed to set in place the necessary techniques that make up the foundation of performance. You will investigate the essential nature of performance.

Year 2 is planned for you to creatively explore your individuality as an actor and begin to discover what professional direction you wish to take. Concentrating on process and development, the course nurtures students’ versatility as actors – preparing them to gain and sustain employment in the industry.

PERFORMING AND MEDIA ARTS 2

This program will not run in the 2018/2019 Session

Duration: 1 Year

Full-Time/1 Session

Minimum Entry Requirement:

Selected applicants who may not possess formal theatre training or qualification but have considerable professional acting experience and who audition to a sufficiently high standard may be accepted directly into the second year of study at the discretion of the Academy.

Structure

This One-Year course offers intensive vocational training to those whose higher education or prior professional experience has equipped them with the necessary fundamental performance skills, and are deemed eligible for direct entry into Year 2.

Concentrating on process and development, the course nurtures students’ versatility as actors – preparing them to gain and sustain employment in the industry.

Lufodo Academy of Performing Arts (LAPA) is approved by the Federal Ministry of Education to operate as an Innovative Enterprise Institution and formally accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) to award National Innovative Diploma in Performing and Media Arts.
