Omonor Somolu

An Actor, Stage Director, and Theatre Instructor, Omonor attained a B.Sc Honors degree in Biochemistry from the University of Lagos, Nigeria.

In 2002, as an undergraduate, she began training as an actor with the renowned Theatre 15 and to date, she has performed major roles in plays within Nigeria, the United Kingdom, the United States of America and the Netherlands.

Some of her most notable stage credits have been the role of Sidi in the Collective Artistes production of Wole Soyinka’s Lion and the Jewel, multiple roles in V Monologues: The Nigerian Story, and the iOpenEye production, Hear Word!

She also starred in the BBC World Service Trust Nigerian TV production Wetin dey.

She was recognized as Best Actor at the 2007 Future Awards Nigeria.

Omonor's relationship with Lufodo Group dates back to 2006 when she was cast in Eve Ensler's Vagina Monologues, co-produced by Lufodo Productions.
Since then she has worked as Elocution Instructor with LAPA Consult, and Stage-acting Instructor at Lufodo Academy of Performing Arts (LAPA).
In 2015 she was appointed LAPA Director of Studies.
