Minimum Entry Requirement

Any one of:

West African Secondary School Certificate

National Examination Council (NECO) Senior School Certificate

General Certificate of Education (GCE) Ordinary Level (O’ Level)

General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level (A’ Level)

General Certificate of Secondary Education

International Baccalaureate

Other International equivalents will be accepted

The certificate should bear the school seal and certifying signature of a school official and/or examination body

Application Fee

Application attracts a Fifty thousand naira (₦50,000) fee.

Secondary and (if applicable) higher institution certificate: A scanned copy of the most recent original document

Two (2) Colored Passport photographs.

Proof of payment of Application Fee

A personal reference letter: An employer, teacher, counselor, clergy, advisor or anyone who has known the prospective student for a period of two (2) years or longer may write the letter, but not a friend or family member. The letter should be written on letterhead stationery and should mention the relationship of the writer to the applicant.

A completed Audition

The audition will be before a panel of industry experts and may involve your performance being recorded.

Audition checklist:

Prepared audition pieces: a dramatic monologue, a poem and a prose excerpt, all from established writers.

Email a soft copy of your audition pieces containing your full name as it appears on the application form to no later than 48hrs to your selected audition date. You will not be allowed to audition pieces by writers that are not widely known.

Bring along to the audition the email confirmation of a completed application form, an audition date and time slot.

You may bring along any costume or prop you require for your performance.

NOTE: We are looking to train students with and without acting experience, therefore, acceptance into the academy is not dependent solely on your performance. The audition enables the academy evaluate the level you are at, and your ability to physically and mentally withstand the tasking training schedule.

Notification of Admission

The academy will review audition reports and submitted application materials. Accepted students will receive an admission letter and enrollment agreement within four weeks of the audition.
The enrollment agreement is to be signed and returned along with:

A medical report

Proof of full payment of the first year tuition

Medical Report: Should you be accepted, a medical report will be required of you as the training, though rewarding, is rigorous and will stretch your mind and body beyond its comfort level.

Property insurance fee is a refundable fee collected to insure against damage to school property. It is paid in the first academic year, if no damages are incurred it will be carried over to the second year and finally refunded after the close of the second academic year

LAPA will not accept instalment payments in the first year.

Full payment for the first year of the 2018/2019 session is to be made on or before Tuesday, October 24, 2017.

A payment plan will be available in the second academic year.
